Jig-Jiga, (June 25th, 2016)
Jig-Jiga University has commenced the 8th Graduation Ceremony on Saturday June 25th 2016. Somali Region President and Board Chairman of the University led the 8th graduation ceremony in which more than 1820 graduates of whom 635 of them were female and 1185 of them were male graduates.
Ato Saed Mohamed, the V/P for academic affairs and acting president has said at the occasion that the university has graduated more than 10,000 graduates during the eight years in to its existence. Among the graduates of this year was also an eighty two graduates in the different postgraduate programs of the university. According to many participants and graduates who spoke with The Herald, it was a joyous moment in which graduates, parents and university celebrated a collective effort and individual accomplishments.
